Sudip is the Founder and Managing Partner of Pumori Capital. He is a senior banking and asset management executive with over 20 years of experience sourcing and structuring deals, while managing top-tier teams and risk positions in Emerging Markets (EM). Sudip founded Pumori Capital soon after leaving Credit Suisse (CS) in 2013, in order to take advantage of very attractive discounts available to investors in the secondary PE space in India and SE Asia.
At Credit Suisse, Sudip was a Managing Director, member of the Operating Committee, and Head of EM Products within the Asset Management Division (AMD). He was responsible for building out the Firm’s EM Alternatives platform, either organically or through partnerships with established GPs with main areas of focus India, Brazil, and Mexico. Prior to joining the AMD in 2010, Sudip was a member of the Fixed Income Operating Committee, co-head of Global EM and Investment Grade Credit, and head of Global Structuring within the Fixed Income Division (FID) from 2002-2009.
Sudip has lived and worked in Mumbai, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Greenwich, CT. Prior to his 16 years at CS, Sudip was an MD at Bankers Trust Company, and received his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA from Cornell University.
Ashish is the Co-Founder and Partner of Pumori Capital. He has over 12 years of experience in advisory, emerging markets investing, financing and asset management. Ashish was previously a Director within the Asset Management Division (AMD) of Credit Suisse (CS) in Hong Kong where he was responsible for developing new PE funds for CS in Asia as well as monitoring existing CS PE investments in the region.
Prior to working with CS AMD in Hong Kong, Ashish spent 8 years as an investment banker with CS in its New York and London offices focused on healthcare and consumer transactions. Ashish has significant deal experience and structuring expertise, having completed transactions in excess of US$75b across M&A, debt and equity financings globally.
Ashish has lived and worked in New York, London and Hong Kong. He relocated to Mumbai with Pumori Capital in 2014 to develop a ground-level network and leverage existing relationships across Asia. Prior to CS, he was an analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Credit Derivatives Group, and received his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University.
